Clinic available for those seeking mental health, addiction services

Nov. 28—Sutter-Yuba Behavioral Health announced recently that "Open Access Clinics" are now available to Yuba-Sutter residents who are seeking mental health or substance abuse services.

According to officials, an Open Access Clinic is a "walk-in clinic for adults 18 years of age or older in the Sutter-Yuba service area who would like to be assessed for eligibility to receive specialty mental health and/or drug and alcohol services."

Along with in-person availability, the clinics also offer options through telehealth or over the phone. The schedule for the clinic is as follows: — Mental health services: 8 a.m to 2 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday (walk-in, telephone, or telehealth video) — Drug and alcohol services: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (closed for lunch from noon to 1 p.m.) Tuesday and Thursday

Sutter-Yuba Behavioral Health is located at 1965 Live Oak Blvd. in Yuba City. It can be reached by phone at 530-822-7200.

Officials said that those looking to visit the clinic should plan to arrive or call during clinic hours.

"There is no availability to be seen earlier or later than the posted clinic times," officials said.

For Spanish-speaking individuals, the clinic will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursdays at the Latino Outreach Center, located at 545 Garden Hwy., Suite B, in Yuba City. For more information, call 530-674-1885, extension 104.
